Skanska sells Green Towers in Wrocław

On 28 December 2012, Skanska Property Poland sold the fully leased Green Towers office complex in Wrocław to one of Poland’s largest financial companies for EUR 64 million.

Green Towers is a new office complex in Wrocław with a total leasable area of 23,300 sqm, developed by Skanska Property Poland. The first of two ten-storey buildings was completed in March 2012, whereas the other is scheduled for completion in January 2013. Skanska Property Poland was advised on the deal by Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate services firm.

“We are very proud of Green Towers. The complex has been fully leased before completion and sold before the second building was commissioned for use. Additionally, the already completed building A is the first LEED Platinum certified office project in Poland. We are happy to see that our buildings are a desired investment target and that Wrocław proves to be an attractive destination for investors”, said Waldemar Olbryk, President of Skanska Property Poland.

The Green Towers complex is fully leased, with the biggest lease contract signed for 14,400 sqm. Tenants include Ernst & Young, Allegro Group, Dolby, BD Europe and Medicover Group. The complex is managed by Colliers International.

Green Towers features a number of sustainable solutions which earned the already completed building A of the complex the first in Poland LEED Platinum certificate for new buildings. The complex has been equipped with state of the art green technologies ensuring considerable energy and water savings. That translates into significant economies for the tenants, at the same time enhancing the investment value of the property.

Conveniently located in the proximity of Wrocław’s Old Town, with excellent access to public transport and easy access to the main railway station and the local airport, Green Towers was the second office investment by Skanska Property Poland in Wrocław, following Grunwaldzki Center completed in 2009 and sold in 2010. The third project, Green Day, is already underway with the cornerstone laid in October 2012. Another office project in Wrocław by Skanska Property Poland is Dominikański, currently in the planning phase.
