"Messer Eutectic Castolin Sp. z o.o. (MEC) will move its headquarters to Diamond Business Park Gliwice. Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate services firm, represented the owner in the transaction.
MEC provides repair and rebuild solutions in welding, brazing and coating technologies. MEC Polska, with its headquarters in Gliwice, is part of the Messer Eutectic Castolin holding owned by Stefan Messer, who also owns the MIG holding, a manufacturer of industrial gases. Its Polish branch, Messer Polska of Chorzów, has its divisions in Warsaw, Police, Poznań, Środa Wielkopolska and Rybnik.
Diamond Business Park Gliwice, owned by AIG/Lincoln, is a modern industrial park near the Kleszczów interchange of the A4 motorway in the Gliwice Subzone of the Katowice Special Economic Zone. It offers industrial and warehouse space as well as modern office and staff facilities for lease. The five buildings of Diamond Business Park Gliwice provide a total of 46,000 sq m of space.
A new building will be constructed for MEC and comprise executive offices, a training centre, a manufacturing plant and warehouse space totalling nearly 5,000 sq m. The development is to begin in 2013 with the tenant planning to move in a year later."
