Fashion retailer H&M is to open a store in the Galeria Bursztynowa shopping centre in Ostrołęka and take up 1,530 sq m. Galeria Bursztynowa is scheduled to open by the end of May 2014. Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate services firm, is the exclusive agent in the commercialization of the shopping centre. Narev Inwestycje is the developer.
Galeria Bursztynowa is being developed in Gorbatowa and Żebrowskiego streets in downtown Ostrołęka, a city with the population of approximately 54,000. It will total around 32,000 sq m of usable space, including 27,000 sq m of retail space to let in about 60 units.
Roman Tomczak, President of Narev Inwestycje, said: “We are pleased to see a top fashion retailer H&M join our other tenants of the Bursztynowa shopping centre. H&M is a leading global fashion brand and its first store in our region will greatly complement the retail offer of our shopping centre.”
H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) is a Sweden-based company active in the clothing industry and present in 53 countries across the globe. It is a leading large-format fashion brand. H&M opened its first store in Poland in 2003 and now has 123 units across the country.
Tomasz Górski, a senior negotiator from the Retail Department of Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We are glad that another fashion brand has decided to open a store in Ostrołęka. H&M is the second large store fashion retailer gaining a foothold in Galeria Bursztynowa.”
Apart from H&M, Galeria Bursztynowa will also be anchored by Tesco, along with OBI, RTV EURO AGD, Reserved, Sinsay, Mohito, House, Cropp, Diverse, Martes Sport, CCC and Rossmann.
