Fashion retailer H&M has renewed its lease of 1,660 sq m of retail space in the Shopping and Entertainment Centre Gemini Park Bielsko-Biała. The landlord was represented in this deal by property consultant Cushman & Wakefield.
Justyna Bartosz, Senior Negotiator, Retail Department, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “The lease renewal with one of the anchor tenants is a very important element of the long-term strategy for the shopping centre that is currently being extended. It also confirms strong potential of this location.”
H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) is a Sweden-based company active in the clothing industry and present in 53 countries across the globe. It is a leading large-format fashion brand. H&M opened its first store in 1947 and now operates under such brand names as H&M, including H&M Home, COS, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday and & Other Stories. Its first store in Poland opened in 2003. H&M now has more than 100 stores in Poland.
The Shopping and Entertainment Centre Gemini Park Bielsko-Biała is located at 20 Leszczyńska Street in Bielsko-Biała. It was opened in May 2009 and its anchor tenants include the Real hypermarket, Cinema City, H&M, C&A, Reserved, House, Mohito, New Yorker, Bershka, Stradivarius, Carry, Martes Sport, RTV Euro AGD, Rossmann and CCC. Following the extension of the scheme scheduled to open on 9 April 2014, its leasable space will increase from 27,500 sq m to 40,000 sq m. Gemini Park Bielsko Biała received many awards, including for the Best Shopping Center 2009 in Poland granted by Shopping Center Forum & Awards. It is owned by Gemini Holding, also the owner of Gemini Park Tarnów.
