Five new leases totalling more than 1,400 sq m have been signed by the developer of the Galeria Neptun shopping centre under construction in Starogard Gdański. The investor was represented in negotiations with the tenants by a leading global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, which is the exclusive agent responsible for the commercialization of the shopping centre.

The largest lease of 484 sq m was signed by the health and beauty store Rossmann. The sports clothing and equipment retailer Martes Sport will take up 451 sq m. The other three tenants who have decided to gain a foothold in Galeria Neptun include the footwear store Ray Obuwie (170 sq m), a fashion brand Diverse (160 sq m) and a men’s fashion boutique Lavard (147 sq m).

Krystian Essel, Head of Development of Etos S.A., the owner of the Diverse brand, said: “We are pleased to announce another Diverse store location. We see great potential in Starogard Gdański and Galeria Neptun, which will be a prime shopping centre in the region. We regularly monitor the Polish retail property market to ensure the best possible access for customers to our retail offer. We are currently focused on growth in cities with up to 100,000 inhabitants.”

Galeria Neptun is being developed at the site of the former footwear factory Neptun at the junction of Pomorska and Jana Pawła II streets in the downtown area of Starogard Gdański. Upon completion Galeria Neptun will total around 24,000 sq m of leasable space and target around 195,000 people living within its catchment area. The shopping centre is scheduled to open in spring 2015.

Marek Noetzel, Partner, Head of Retail Department of Cushman & Wakefield in Poland, said: “The commercialization process of Galeria Neptun is moving forward as planned. The new brands added to the retail offer of the shopping centre will make Galeria Neptun even more attractive to customers. Negotiations with other tenants are also underway.”

Apart from these new tenants, Galeria Neptun will also be anchored by Intermarche, Media Expert, H&M, along the five brands of LPP S.A.: Reserved, Sinsay, Mohito, House and Cropp. The shopping centre will also house Cinema City, a store of the telecom operator Play and a Kolporter newsagent store.

Galeria Neptun Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. is the developer of the scheme while Dekpol Sp. z o.o. is the general contractor. More information on Galeria Neptun at: www.galeria-neptun.eu.
