Three new leases totalling more than 1,000 sq m have been signed by the developer of the Galeria Neptun shopping centre under construction in Starogard Gdański. The owner was represented in these transactions by a leading global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield. The scheme is scheduled to open in spring 2015.
The new tenants of Galeria Neptun include the dynamically expanding chain of clothing and accessories stores PEPCO, which took up 363 sq m, a 341 sq m pet shop of Zoo Karina, a well-known brand in the Pomorskie region, and a family entertainment centre Jupi Park (337 sq m) offering many attractions for children, including birthday parties and educational workshops.
Nikodem Bakun, Project Manager, Galeria NEPTUN Sp. z o.o. Sp. k., said: “External facade finishing works to complete the scheme are well under way. We are also finishing work on the reinforced concrete floor for the cinema and installing all the building systems required for the scheme’s operation in the future. The changes we are making to the traffic circulation system will greatly facilitate access to the shopping centre. Apart from building internal roads, including a public road, we are also altering considerable sections of Pomorska and Jana Pawła II streets. The alterations include street widening, construction of new right turn lanes, new pavements, pedestrian refuge islands and crossings, and relocation of bus lay-bys.”
Tina Tulińska, Marketing & Brand Manager, Jupi Park, said: “Jupi Park family entertainment centres feature the fairy-tale scenery of a jungle. The figure on our logo welcomes children to the tropical world of animals. A visit to Jupi Park is an excellent solution for all parents who are tight for time and want to make the best use of their free time. Qualified entertainers encourage children aged 3+ who are left under the care of Jupi Park to join in the plays and games. Booking a nanny for an additional fee is a great solution for parents of the youngest children, including those aged less than three, as the nanny can fully focus on one child.”
Tomasz Lipiński, Negotiator in the Retail Department, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Galeria Neptun appeals very strongly to retailers that we talk to and many new leases have been signed recently. Retailers and private entrepreneurs have noticed that this region has a big sales potential and want to gain a foothold in this modern retail scheme. We can already say with confidence at this stage of its commercialization that the customers of Galeria Neptun will have a very broad range of fashion stores to choose from.”
Apart from these new tenants, Galeria Neptun will also be anchored by Intermarche, Media Expert, Martes Sport, Butik I Like!, H&M and the five brands of LPP S.A.: Reserved, Sinsay, Mohito, House and Cropp. The shopping centre will also house stores of Ray Obuwie, Baskoni, Diverse, Moodo and Reporter Young, a multi-brand store offering Triumph underwear, Rossmann (health and beauty store), a Lavard fashion boutique, Cinema City, a store of the telecom operator Play, a store of Ziaja cosmetics, a Kolporter newsagent store, Baltic Exchange (bureau de change) and a store of e-SmokingWorld, the largest European chain selling e-cigarettes.
Galeria Neptun is being developed at the site of the former footwear factory Neptun in downtown Starogard Gdański. Upon completion it will total around 24,000 sq m. Galeria Neptun Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. is the developer of the scheme while Dekpol Sp. z o.o. is the general contractor. Cushman & Wakefield is the exclusive agent responsible for the commercialization of Galeria Neptun.
