In 2015 European Packaging Solutions Poland will begin to manufacture packaging products in its first production facility in Poland which will be located in Gliwice. EPSP will also take advantage of state aid and government incentives resulting from the permit which was granted to them to operate in a Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate consultancy firm, advised European Packaging Solutions Poland in the acquisition of this new manufacturing facility and obtaining the permit to set up this plant in the Katowice SEZ.
Cushman & Wakefield represented European Packaging Solutions Poland in the transaction and provided consultancy in regards to site selection, negotiations of commercial terms relating to the acquisition of land and developer selection as well as advised EPSP in its application to obtain a permit to operate in the Katowice Special Economic Zone, subzone Gliwice.
Michał Sikora, Land, Technical & Special Economic Zone Consultant, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “With our support, EPSP obtained a permit to operate in the Katowice Special Economic Zone before the new changes in legislation were introduced at the start of July 2014 which means they will still be eligible to take advantage of the maximum incentives available in that region of Poland. EPSP will now be able to enjoy special benefits such as corporate income tax relief and property tax exemption throughout the term specified in the resolution of the Gliwice City Council. State aid is guaranteed provided that the investor carries out its contractual duties.”
European Packaging Solutions Poland is collaborating with Delta Print & Packaging, a leading global supplier of packaging for some of the world’s largest food service, food retail and well known household brands. European Packaging Solutions Poland will manufacture in Poland biodegradable wood fibre packaging within the Food Service, Food Retail, Beverage, Cereals & Detergents sectors. Its new production facility in Gliwice will focus on deliveries to businesses in Europe and Russia.
EPSP’s manufacturing facility totalling more than 10,500 sq m will be constructed within the logistics park Panattoni Park Gliwice II. This turn-key manufacturing facility will be developed by Panattoni Europe and is scheduled to be delivered in June 2015.
