Abra is to open its 800 sq m furniture store with a wide selection of products in marcredo Center Kutno this coming June. The developer of the shopping centre was represented in this transaction by a global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield.
With 95 stores in 86 towns and cities across the country, Abra Meble is one of the largest furniture retailers in Poland offering home furniture to millions of customers for more than 25 years. Abra was founded in Krakow in 1990 and is now a leading furniture brand in Poland. It opens new stores every year and has a growing number of satisfied customers. Abra’s store in marcredo Center Kutno will be its ninth in the Łódzkie voivodship. Abra intends to step up its expansion and to increase its total number of units in Poland to 100.
“We have been looking for a convenient location for another store in the Łódzkie voivodship for some time as it is a fast-growing region with plenty of space for good homeware stores. marcredo Centre is a very modern and customer-friendly shopping centre that meets our requirements and has a big growth potential,” said Dorota Placzyńska, responsible for the development of Abra S.A.’s store network. “We are confident that our cooperation will be successful and will bring long-term benefits to both parties.”
Opened in spring 2014, marcredo Center at 73 Kościuszki Street is the first modern shopping centre in Kutno. Its anchor tenants include H&M, Reserved, Cropp, House, Mohito, Big Star, Smyk and Empik.
Cushman & Wakefield is the exclusive retail space leasing agent in marcredo Center Kutno. Cushman & Wakefield is also involved in commercialization of two other retail schemes: marcredo Center Zawiercie and marcredo Center Kołobrzeg.
“Abra’s furniture store will greatly complement the retail offer of marcredo Center Kutno. We are pleased to see other brands interested in gaining a foothold in Kutno,” said Tomasz Lipiński, a negotiator from the Retail Department of Cushman & Wakefield.
