InPost, one of the largest postal operators in Poland, will be leasing 15,000 sq m at P3 Piotrków for their built-to-suit delivery processing hub. The tenant was represented in the negotiation process by Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate advisor.
As part of the Integer.pl group, InPost operates in 20 countries across three continents. Thanks to innovative solutions, such as self-service parcel pick-up stations, InPost holds a strong position on the global logistics market. The new scheme located within the P3 Piotrków logistics park, tailored to the tenant’s individual needs, will house a delivery processing point, cross-docking, warehouse and offices.
“Due to the rapid growth of our courier services (2.8 million parcels processed only in the first quarter), we decided to expand our sorting operations. The brand new processing hub will allow us to increase the processed volumes by 60% compared to our previous sorting centre. We had not been planning such quick expansion, but the positive customer reactions to our new courier service, which we started only 10 months ago, encouraged our decision to invest in this new processing centre,” said Sebastian Anioł, President of InPost S.A.
P3 Piotrków, offering 75,000 sq m of fully-leased space, is located close to Piotrków Trybunalski, near the junction of the A1 motorway with major E75 and E67 expressways. This location provides direct road connections to Warsaw, Wrocław and Katowice. The logistics park comprises a 120 ha plot, allowing for the development of an additional 410,000 sq m. The construction began in 2008. Key tenants include FM Logistic, InPost, Erontrans and Kuehne + Nagel.
“We are very glad that InPost has decided to expand its operations at our park. P3 Piotrków, thanks to its location in central Poland and proximity to two motorways, allows our customers to easily conduct operations nationwide. We always try to support our customers and, as the scale of their activities increases, offer them appropriate storage space. In this case, we proposed delivering a new, dedicated facility designed to meet InPost’s specific requirements,” said Piotr Bzowski, Leasing and Development Director at P3 in Poland
“We are delighted that InPost entrusted us with this project and that we had the chance to support the company in finding the best solution combining cross-docking and warehouse space. The tenant will be able to move into the dedicated property later this year. The scheme, constructed according to InPost’s requirements, is undoubtedly a strategic project,” said Joanna Sinkiewicz, Associate, Head of Key Clients & Tenant Representation at Cushman & Wakefield.
