Brown Brothers Harriman to expand their lease at Orange Office Park by 7,500 square meters
Global financial services firm Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has signed a lease for an additional 7,500 square meters of office space in the Brown Brothers Harriman building at Kraków’s Orange Office Park. Now in Phase III of its building expansion, BBH will occupy over 14,500 square meters. Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate advisor, represented BBH in the negotiations. Wardyński & Partners provided legal advice.
Founded in 1818, BBH provides award winning asset servicing and technology solutions to asset managers and financial institutions around the world. The firm employs over 5,000 staff in 18 global locations. BBH’s Kraków office, opened in 2012, is a growing hub for the bank’s business technology and service delivery teams.
“BBH has made a substantial commitment to Kraków and we are thrilled to continue expanding our presence here. The local talent pool is nothing short of impressive. As a firm, BBH is known for both our business technology and service excellence – two competencies that have come together in Kraków in a way that has set a new standard for service, expertise and innovation. The ability to have all of our employees in one building has been critical to our success, and we’re pleased we can accommodate our expanding headcount in this one location,” said Michael McDonald, Managing Director and Head of BBH Kraków.
Orange Office Park, developed in four phases, will offer 35,000 square meters of office and retail space, as well as 550 parking spaces. The first phase was completed in July 2014. The office park is located in the Zabłocie district, next to a two-level interchange of Nowohucka and Klimeckiego streets. This guarantees convenient access both by car and by public transport (new fast tram line, regular trams, regional bus and train stations).
“This has not been our first opportunity to work with Brown Brothers Harriman in Kraków. We are glad that our client’s business is growing and that their Polish office is so successful,” said Krzysztof Misiak, Partner, Head of Regional Cities at Cushman & Wakefield.
Orange Office Park is developed by East-West Development Office sp. z o.o. – a company controlled by the Luxembourg holding Chateau Thei SA, which is active in the real estate development industry in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Poland. CFE Polska is the general contractor.
