Over 160 business meetings at Cushman & Wakefield’s stand

ReDI CEE Trade Fair for Retail Investment is one of the largest and most important retail real estate events in Central & Eastern Europe. This year’s edition, held on June 1–2 at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw, was visited by over 1,400 participants and 350 retailers, as well 550 investors, developers and managers. 50 exhibitors presented 150 shopping centres from Poland and CEE. During those two days, visitors had the opportunity to discuss the planned and existing CEE retail centres, as well as new brands on the market, technologies and services developed for the retail industry. The fair was organised by the Polish Council of Shopping Centres.

Jan Kotrbacek“Meetings such as the ReDI Fair are essential for the retail property industry. The participation of experts from across Central & Eastern Europe provides an excellent opportunity for exchanging experiences and indicating the direction for future growth of the sector in the region. We are glad to have taken part in this event this year as well,” said Jan Kotrbacek, Partner, Head of Retail Agency CEE, Cushman & Wakefield.

Before the fair, on May 31, Cushman & Wakefield invited the representatives of retail networks participating in ReDI to “Retailers' Garden Cocktail & Networking". Dorota Skowrońska, Head of HR at Cushman & Wakefield in Poland, took part in the “ReDI for People – Labour market in the retail industry” panel held during the second day. The hour-long discussion touched upon the most important issues concerning perspectives for retail specialists in the labour market, career paths, and restrictions on Sunday trading.

During the fair, visitors to Cushman & Wakefield’s stand had the opportunity to meet with leading CEE advisory experts. Part of the stall was arranged as a Costa Coffee bar. Thanks to the casual setting and professional barista service, the discussions were not limited strictly to business issues. Cushman & Wakefield works closely with Costa Coffee on seeking locations for new cafés.

Renata Kusznierska“ReDi Fair has yet again proved to be the key event for the growth of the Polish retail property sector. Our company never misses this opportunity to observe the current market trends by active participation. This year, we focused mainly on promoting the retail schemes commercialised by Cushman & Wakefield, as well as getting to know tenants’ and landlords’ emerging needs,” said Renata Kusznierska, Head of Retail Agency, Cushman & Wakefield in Poland.
