Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (Spółka Akcyjna), a branch of the Swiss insurance group, has signed a lease for approximately 1,000 sq m of office space in the ASTRIS office building under construction at the Polsad roundabout in Krakow. About 100 Zurich employees will move into their new office in Q2 2017. The landlord was represented by global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, whilst the tenant was represented by JLL.
Zurich local entity’s office at ASTRIS building is a continuation of the company’s growth outside Switzerland. The building will become a workplace for many highly qualified specialists in accounting, financial reporting, financial planning and financial data management.
Julie Archambault from Cushman & Wakefield, who is responsible for commercialization of the office building, said: “Krakow is an ideal location for companies such as Zurich Insurance due to its well-developed shared services market and access to a large, talented and multilingual labour pool with professional experience in international organizations. The new branch of the Zurich Insurance Group will be based in ASTRIS, a modern Class A office building under construction in Krakow. The project is being built in one of the city’s business districts with easy access to it by both car and public transport users. The scheme also offers a number of amenities, including a green roof terrace in which to relax.”
Jaroslaw Betka, ASTRIS, said: “We are truly proud that a renowned corporation such as Zurich Insurance Company has decided to set up its office in our building. I am glad that our new tenant appreciates not only the excellent location of the scheme, but also its class, flexible layouts, technical infrastructure and high-quality interior finish that will ensure a comfortable working environment.”
