Crux Boulder, a Warsaw bouldering club, will host a meeting with Mikołaj Kowalski-Barysznikow at 10 a.m. on 7 February. Mikołaj, sponsored by global real estate service firm Cushman & Wakefield, took part in the first ever extreme marathon to the top of the Kilimanjaro mountain: Kilimanjaro Extreme Marathon 2017. He will talk about his experiences of the race, showing photographs and films of his expedition. The meeting will be followed by bouldering workshops.

The Kilimanjaro Extreme Marathon was held in Tanzania, at Africa’s highest mountain Kilimanjaro, at the altitude of 5,895 metres above sea level, on 9 December 2017. The Tenzing Everest Marathon, with its starting line at 5,356 metres above sea level, previously topped the league in the “The highest marathon on Earth” category. The marathon organisers are now waiting for the race to be listed in the Guinness World Records. Of all the participants, Polish prize-winning ultramarathoner Piotr Hercog was the fastest on the routes of the Kilimanjaro National Park in Tanzania.

Crux Boulder is the largest bouldering wall in Warsaw’s city centre, located at 51 Hoża Street.
