The third edition of an exceptional event Skyscrapers Night was held on 29 September 2018. It was probably the only such event in the world for photography aficionados, everyone enjoying panoramas from top floors and going to places that are usually inaccessible, and naturally for all lovers of Warsaw.
This year, visitors had an opportunity to admire the panorama of the city from the following buildings:
Cosmopolitan, Eurocentrum Office Complex, Intercontinental Warszawa, Intraco, Ilmet, Generation Park, Novotel Warsaw Center, Rondo 1, Warsaw Spire, Prosta Tower, Warsaw Trade Tower, Złota 44, Holiday Inn Warsaw City Centre, Europejski and Leonardo Royal Hotel Warsaw (JM Tower).
The event attracted interest of nearly a million people with 15,000 actually signing up. In this year’s edition, there were 2,500 guest passes which, as before, were given away at lightning speed.
The previous editions of the event, held in 2015 and 2016, were attended by more than 5,000 people who had an opportunity see Warsaw from above, upper floors of high-rise buildings, and to catch an aerial view of the city.
This year, the organizers of the event and its partners, Cushman & Wakefield and the #tag café, granted awards for the best 12 photographs selected from more than 1,400 pictures.
Most exhibition photographs will go to an auction to support the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP).
“We are impressed by the artistic level of the photographs and the popularity of the Skyscrapers Night that is growing by the year. We promise to hold more editions of this event in upcoming years.”
Kuba Jurkowski, Head of the Photo Department, Nowa Warszawa
“The Skyscrapers Night is a unique event that lets inhabitants of Warsaw and the whole of Poland to enjoy amazing panoramic views of the capital from the top floors of skyscrapers which usually are inaccessible to ordinary sightseers. It’s a great initiative and that’s why Cushman & Wakefield decided to sponsor and take an active part in this year’s edition of the Skyscrapers Night. We act as property managers on many buildings across Poland, but Warsaw has a unique atmosphere and its office buildings have already become iconic landmarks on the city’s skyline – they are a genuine showpiece of the capital.”
Marcin Kocerba, Associate, Capital Markets, Cushman & Wakefield
