SoftwarePlant was advised in the transaction by the tenant representation team of global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield whilst IRYDION Sp. z o.o., the owner of Astrum Business Park, was represented by the firm’s office leasing team. The tenant moved into its new space in March 2019.

SoftwarePlant is a Warsaw-based start-up which delivers BigPicture software for project management. The solution is trusted by software developers, public sector, energy and automotive firms, and press agencies. Since its inception in 2015, SoftwarePlant has built a 55-strong team and delivered its software to more than 15,000 clients. BigPicture has a user base of over three million.

Why the office fit-out we see in the photos? “First, a programmer works creatively - the greenery and lines help you keep your feet firmly on the ground when your mind begins to wonder,” says Tomasz Kucharski, CEO of SoftwarePlant. “Secondly, many separate meeting zones enable developers to work in agile teams. And thirdly, the interesting fit-out helps us retain top talents.”

Why Astrum Business Park? “To develop software, you need a quiet environment with good communications and excellent ventilation/air-conditioning. On the plus side was also our cooperation with Astrum’s IT-related people who demonstrated their professionalism throughout,” says Tomasz Kucharski.

Astrum Business Park offers more than 20,000 sq m of office and service space, and many employee amenities, including a canteen, a hairdresser’s and a car wash. It is located in Warsaw’s Włochy district, at the crossroads of Jerozolimskie Avenue and Łopuszańska Street, close to a WKD (Warsaw Commuter Railway) station, the Warsaw West Railway Station and an interchange of Warsaw’s ring-roads. In April 2017, the complex received the international BREEAM FINAL certificate with a “Very Good” rating. It also received the “Building of the Year 2015” award from the Polish Association of Civil Engineers and Technicians (PZITB) and an honourable mention in the PASCAL 2018 competition for ventilation and air-conditioning solutions.
